- Functional Skills in Mathematics
This maths course uses real-life examples to help you learn maths. The course covers: whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages, how to use common measures, shape and space, handling information and data, solving mathematical problems and decision making. This course is assessed with 1 online exam when we think students are ready to sit. Exam Fees will apply. Students can progress onto the level 2 course.
- Functional Skills in English
The Functional skills qualification requires learners to apply skills-based and problem solving techniques in realistic settings. The qualification includes 3 mandatory components: 1. Speaking, listening and communication. For this component learners must complete two assessed tasks: - Presentation and Q&A (approximately 15 minutes) - Group discussion (approximately 15 minutes) 2. Reading - learners must answer a series of questions using two texts based on real-life contexts. (1 hour) 3. Writing - leaners must complete two writing tasks based on purposeful contexts. All tasks must be completed. (1 hour) The guided learning hours for this level 1 qualification is 55 hours.

Various activities including: - Drawing, Painting, Pyrography, Graffiti Art, Mosaic, Model Making, Clay Sculptures, Paper Mache, Quilling, Sewing and lots more crafty things!!
- Basic English Skills
Students will be learn basic English skills including;- spelling, punctuation and grammar. Small class six of up to six children.
- Bicycle Maintenance & Repair
Basic bicycle maintenance and repair covering how to fix a puncture, check the chain, brakes and cables and adjust as required and general upkeep of your bicycle.
- LEGO & PLAY CLUB AGE 5 to 8
Lego club is an engaging and educational environment that helps children develop a variety of crucial skills in a safe and caring environment. PARENTS OF CHILDREN UNDER 8 YEARS OF AGE WILL NEED TO STAY ONSITE.
- First Aid for Children (Age 11+)
£15 per session, four session course Topic include: The roles and responsibilities of a first- aider assessing an emergency situation safely CPR and AED administering first aid to a choking casualty dealing with shock, burns, scalds, bleeds and minor injuries dealing with sudden poisoning or an anaphylaxis dealing with casualties with fractures, and spinal, head or chest injuries dealing with heart attacks, strokes and other major illness
- ACE EASTER HOLIDAY CLUB
The holiday club will offer lots of fun activities including arts & crafts with an Easter theme, woodwork, photography, cooking and free play in our large games room with a pool table, football table, badminton, floor draughts, hairdressing & nails, Lego and lots of board games.
- Health & Wellbeing (Age 11 to 14yrs)
These sessions will cover mental health awareness, understanding our emotions, promoting positive relationships, positive body image, building self esteem and staying safe.
- Woodwork
PLEASE CONTACT THE CENTRE WHEN BOOKING YOUR FIRST WOODWORK SESSION. A class dedicated to teaching learners how to correctly use tools and develop their woodworking skills. Students are encouraged to design and create their own projects while working at their own pace. Workshop sessions will have two staff members present, with a maximum of four children in each session. All safety wear and materials are included in the session costs. Children can take their finished projects home.
