  • Woodwork

    PLEASE CONTACT THE CENTRE WHEN BOOKING YOUR FIRST WOODWORK SESSION. A class dedicated to teaching learners how to correctly use tools and develop their woodworking skills. Students are encouraged to design and create their own projects while working at their own pace. Workshop sessions will have two staff members present, with a maximum of four children in each session. All safety wear and materials are included in the session costs. Children can take their finished projects home.

  • Functional Skills in Mathematics

    This maths course uses real-life examples to help you learn maths. The course covers: whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages, how to use common measures, shape and space, handling information and data, solving mathematical problems and decision making. This course is assessed with 1 online exam when we think students are ready to sit. Exam Fees will apply. Students can progress onto the level 2 course.

  • Basic English Skills

    Students will be learn basic English skills including;- spelling, punctuation and grammar. Small class six of up to six children.

  • Functional Skills in English

    The Functional skills qualification requires learners to apply skills-based and problem solving techniques in realistic settings. The qualification includes 3 mandatory components: 1. Speaking, listening and communication. For this component learners must complete two assessed tasks: - Presentation and Q&A (approximately 15 minutes) - Group discussion (approximately 15 minutes) 2. Reading - learners must answer a series of questions using two texts based on real-life contexts. (1 hour) 3. Writing - leaners must complete two writing tasks based on purposeful contexts. All tasks must be completed. (1 hour) The guided learning hours for this level 1 qualification is 55 hours.

  • Basic Cooking Skills (Ages 8 to 12yrs)

    Children will learn basic cooking techniques to make simple food dishes which they can take home. Children will also be taught how to be safe and hygienic in the kitchen in a small group of up to three children.

  • Basic Woodwork & Crafts

    Children will learn basic woodwork skills and make their own woodwork and craft projects to take home.

  • Basic Maths Skills

    These sessions will cover addition, multiplication, subtraction and division.

  • Art Class (drawing & painting)

    Learn how to draw and paint in a fun environment. All materials will be provided.

  • 11+ Tutoring Session

    Specialising in grammar and independent school entrance exam preparation. Classes will cover English, maths, verbal, non-verbal and spatial reasoning. Classes available for children in year 5 who will be sitting their grammar school examinations in September 2025. A maximum of six children only in a class.

  • Health & Safety

    This Level 1 health & safety course will run for six weeks and is aimed at children aged 13 to 16 years. All sessions need to be attended to sit the exam.

  • Graffiti Art

    Create you own piece of graffiti artwork to take home. All materials and safety wear provided.

  • Basic Beauty & Nail Course

    During this seven week course students will learn about nail care including, manicures and nail art, pedicures and foot care including treatments. Students will also learn about skincare and how to do a facial. Students will also learn about health and safety within the beauty industry. We will also have mini competitions i.e. nail art.
